Proposal photographer Scotland – Jerome and Claudia

“Absolutely a five star experience. After deciding to propose to my now fiancee, I looked into picturesque locations and settled on Scotland. I found Rihannon on Google and decided to reach out and have an introductory zoom call to walk through my proposal plans and see how she could help.

She immediately put me at ease. She had knowledge of multiple locations within reasonable travelling distance from our hotel that’d provide a scenic backdrop for the proposal. She also helped plan the logistics of the proposal which helped lay to rest any worries that I had of things going wrong on the day. On the day, Rihannon was inconspicuous and didn’t make herself known until I’d got down on one knee. Afterwards, we had an hour-long photoshoot around Loch Lomond where we chatted and got some pictures, which turned out great. We highly highly recommend Rhiannon for any Scotland based photography needs!”

Jerome and Claudia are from the North of England so, when they were planning a trip to Scotland, Jerome got in touch and asked if I knew of any locations that would be beautiful and romantic. I immediately thought of Loch Lomond, it’s just classic Scotland!

Firkin Point is one of my favourite spots on the loch. It’s generally quiet (which is ideal for a proposal!) and the scenery is so dramatic, it feels wild! It ticked all the boxes that Jerome was looking for.

Jerome and I spent a lot of time talking through the plans, and we timed everything out based on when the light would be best and there would be the least amount of tourists. Jerome wanted to pull off a proper surprise proposal so, as always, I was there ahead of them. That gave me plenty of time to scout out the area and choose the perfect spot. Even when I know a location well I always like to arrive early just in case. You never know when the tide will be in further than expected, or the weather isn’t playing ball or if a group of tourists have just arrived!

So, there I was at Firkin Point. I was pretending to be a landscape photographer engrossed in taking pictures of the hills when Jerome and Claudia arrived. They paid no attention to me, and took in the amazing view before Jerome got down on one knee and proposed! What a moment to capture, Claudia’s face was an absolute picture.

We spent some time exploring and went for a walk together around the side of the loch, there are so many different viewpoints in that area and I wanted to capture some amazing backdrops for them. We had a lovely time as we chatted away. Jerome had put so much thought into his proposal and it was amazing to capture it for them.
