Nicola + Mark | Glenbervie House Wedding Photographer, Scotland

I always say that I’m very lucky to get to work with like-minded couples, and Nicola & Mark were no exception! From our very first meeting, I could tell we would work well together: they laughed and joked around with each other the entire time and it was easy to see that they were very much in love. We had an absolute blast at their engagement shoot at the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow- more laughs and smiles (and even a couple of piggyback rides!) and I knew their day would be loads of fun.

Nicola’s attention to detail was second to none and there were so many lovely little touches that made their day extra special. The couple even had Mark’s grandparents teach them how to make jam so they could make their favours themselves how cute is that?! Nicola was relaxed and excited from first thing in the morning, and Mark’s smile was happy and proud as he watched his bride walk down the aisle with her dad. Though the day started out sunny and clear there were downpours on and off all afternoon, and despite the challenging weather Nicola & Mark and their lovely friends and families remained positive and laid back- and their day all the more fun because of it. It certainly helped to have the adorable Flower Girl Mia & Page Boy Ryan there to keep the party going!

A sunset stroll with the newlyweds and a sparkler send off created a perfect end to the day and I’m so pleased we were there to capture it all. Congratulations once again Mr & Mrs Leyden and thanks for making our job so easy! I hope these photos bring back those big wedding day smiles for many, many years to come.
