Weddings are always a happy occasion, but Cat and Bruce did not stop smiling all day long. Even the most candid of shots are filled with happy grins, and their relaxed attitudes towards their day made it so much fun to be a part of. Cat & Bruce met in university when they were studying English Literature, and as such, I had a sneaky suspicion their ceremony would be truly personal. They didn’t disappoint, with carefully chosen readings that were meaningful to them as a couple, and shared by friends and family in their beautiful humanist service. We kept the posed photos to a minimum, for a relaxed afternoon and some truly natural shots of the bride and groom. As the couple loves board games, they themed their reception around them, with a game on each table as the centrepiece, and a lego bride and groom as their cake topper. Cat and Bruce chose The Lighthouse to play host to their beautiful Scottish wedding, a unique venue in the heart of Glasgow. With a spiral staircase, a maze of rooms and galleries and a viewing platform and tower that look out over the city, The Lighthouse has quickly become one of my favourite venues for a Glasgow wedding.
