What better way to ring in your 30th birthday than with an adult Cake Smash Session? I’m a big believer in birthdays, (especially the milestone ones) and a 30th cake smash session is a great way to do something fun for yourself and act like a kid again, if only for an hour or two. I’ve done family photos for Jen for years, since her first pregnancy bump photos to two sets of newborn photos to birthday photos of both boys, and usually they are the star of the show. So when she asked if I would capture some silly shots starring her I jumped at the chance! Having just moved to a rural property, Jen wanted to do the shoot in the comfort of her own back garden, and it proved the perfect backdrop for this on location photography session. Blocks, balloons and a nice sugary cake to play in- what’s not to like? After all, babies shouldn’t get to have all the fun.
