Ashleigh-Faye & Shaun first got in touch because they were looking for a natural, reportage wedding photographer in Scotland. It was important to them to have someone capture the real moments of their day from start to finish, with minimal posed photos- and luckily (for both of us) they came to the right place!
I knew from our first meeting that we would work well together- these two totally rocked their outdoor engagement session at Chatelherault Park earlier this year. Laughing and joking throughout our shoot, their laid back attitudes and friendly chat perfectly suits my relaxed approach to wedding photography.
The couple chose to have their wedding at the Three Kings in Falkirk, Scotland- a lovely venue set in the rolling hills of the Scottish countryside. We started the day with bridal prep at a beautiful farm (a friend of the family’s), where the couple’s daughter Sophia was more than happy to pose for the camera while her mum got ready for the big day! From there it was on to the ceremony at The Three Kings, where we managed to get some outdoor photos during a break in the rain! Ashleigh-Faye & Shaun are both big Game of Thrones fans, and managed to sneak in some really unique nods to the show- with a handmade seating chart and even some stone goblets for the bride & groom to drink from! Their lovely cake was made by a family friend- another special touch that helped make their day one of a kind! To top it all off, they even had a visit from Darth Vader himself.
It was really tough to narrow this one down to just a few favourite images, but here’s my best try!
