So you’re getting married…

And you’re looking for a relaxed, non traditional wedding photographer- with some fun thrown in. You just want to have a relaxed, stress free day with your family and friends. You don’t want to spend hours being forced into awkward, cheesy poses (who does?!) and you’re planning your day your own way. Nailed it! We’re going to get along great.

My job title is technically wedding photographer, but I like to think of myself more as a storyteller: creating photos that capture the real moments and honest emotions that tell the story of your day. I’m there to let things unfold naturally, without getting in the way: documenting, not directing (except when I really need to.)

Choosing the right wedding photographer for your day

I know I’m biased, but I think it’s fair to say that choosing a photographer is a pretty key decision: as well spending your entire day with your photographer THESE ARE THE PHOTOS you’ll look back on for the rest of your lives together. When the cake is gone and the flowers have wilted, your photos will be the one thing you have left to remember your wedding day by. See: important!

It’s important to choose a photographer whose style you are drawn to: how do their photos make you feel (and is that how you want to feel about your wedding day)? Equally important though, is their approach. Do you want to spend your day posing or do you prefer more candid coverage? Do you get on well? Would they fit in with your family and friends? If you want to feel like you can just be yourselves on the day, you need to feel comfortable with your photographer– if you’re not, it’ll show in the photos. Get my drift?

My Style

In a nutshell: creative, candid and fun.

My natural, documentary style is both creative and contemporary. Capturing real moments and honest emotions, I am always looking for the most interesting angles and light and making the most of the details and backdrop your venue or location has to offer.

My style of wedding photography is modern but timeless, focusing on what’s happening naturally around me. This is why I describe myself as a Relaxed Wedding Photographer Scotland.

My Approach

Relaxed, friendly and unobtrusive.

My goal is to make sure that you and your guests are comfortable and feel like you can just be yourselves.
I’m not the kind of photographer who will order you around all day or spend hours posing you and your families; 90% of your day will be captured as candidly as possible, and when I do need to take charge to set up your “posed” family photos I’ll make sure I keep things relaxed and fun.

Worried about portraits?

There’s no need to be!
We’ll simply take a casual stroll around your venue and take some relaxed photos of you just being yourselves. No cheesy setups or awkward poses – I promise.
I’ll keep it nice and relaxed and short, because as much as I’m a hoot to hang around with I’m fairly certain you’d rather spend more of your time with your guests than you would with me and my camera.

“I would recommend absolutely
everything about Rhiannon”

“We can’t thank or recommend Rhiannon enough for all her amazing work and our beautiful wedding photos. She made everything easy and stress-free from the word go, meeting with us to chat things through before the day, and instantly put us at ease. She was kind and generous with her time throughout – sending sneak peeks and updates after the wedding – and it felt like she was part of the family on the day. Rhiannon made us both – and the more camera shy guests – feel confident and comfortable throughout. I can honestly say I’ve never felt more relaxed or happy in my own skin on camera thanks to Rhiannon. She captured so many beautiful, candid moments and we’re absolutely delighted with our wedding album. We’d recommend her in a heartbeat.”

FAQ

Are you willing to travel for weddings and elopements?

YES!!! would be an understatement! There is nothing I love more than exploring a new place, and I travel as often as possible both for work and in my downtime. I’ve visited 25 countries to date and have explored Scotland from top to bottom and coast to coast with my camera in tow! Though based in Glasgow, I cover all of Scotland, the UK, Europe and Canada and I am happy to travel anywhere within the central belt of Scotland for portrait sessions too. Please get in touch for a travel quote at hello@rhiannoneale.com

Are digital images included in your packages?

Yes, all packages include your high resolution, edited digital images with printing rights (no watermark).

Do you offer albums, photo books and prints?

Fine art wedding albums & photobooks and a variety of prints and wall art products are available to add on to any package.

How long before we can see our images?

Wedding images are usually ready to share in eight weeks. I know you’ll be anxious to see your photos, so an (optional) online sneak peek is always ready within three days of your wedding.

Do you do any posed/formal wedding photos?

Of course! Although my focus is on capturing your day candidly, most couples still want to have a few ‘formal’ portraits with their family and friends. We’ll put together a list before the day to keep things running quickly and smoothly, and even these planned shots will be done in a relaxed, informal style.

What happens if you fall ill and can’t shoot my wedding?

I always have a colleague pencilled in to fill in for me in case of emergency, so you wouldn’t be left short! I work alongside a handful of amazing photographers who are ready to fill in on short notice if something were to happen to me. I also belong to an emergency network of professional photographers who help each other out in the unlikely event of an emergency, so there’s even a backup for my backup – I like to be prepared!

What happens if your equipment malfunctions?

My cameras all have dual card slots (instant backup!) and I always carry additional equipment with me just in case. I shoot on two cameras all day, and I also carry a backup camera body, variety of lenses and extra batteries/memory cards to every shoot so I am prepared for anything.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured with both professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
